Promoting Positive Contact is a a safe, secure place to where children of families involved in the process of separation or divorce can enjoy contact with one (or both) parents or with other family members. We are based in the city centre of Glasgow.

 

Fees and Charges

Promoting Positive Contact has fees and charges in place for the use of our services. We rely on these costs as they are our only source of income to deliver the service. Without such funds, we would have to close our doors permanently.






Referral Costs:

The referral cost covers the administration costs in setting up the place at the child contact centre in addition the intake visits for both parties and the first contact visit.

Referral Costs For Self Referrals:

Visit Fees - Supported Contact:

The visit fee covers the cost in using the place at the child contact centre.

Observed Contact

The centre is able to offer observed contact for those families where it is considered appropriate. Contact would be observed by specified adults. The cost of observed contact varies depending on the contact (a quotation will be provided highlighting the costs).


Supervised Contact

The centre is able to offer supervised contact for those families where it is considered appropriate. Supervision would be overseen by a qualified social worker and a report on the contact visit may be provided if requested. The cost of supervised contact varies depending on the contact (a quotation will be provided highlighting the costs).


Record Of Visits

A copy of the record of visits can be provided on request. If the contact is:

- Currently active with the child contact centre, there is an administration fee is applied to supplying a copy of the record of visits for the current visit block. An administration charge if any additional information is requested.

- Not currently using the child contact centre, an administration charge is applied to supplying a copy of the record of visits. The amount is dependent on the scale of the workload that had been undertaken to supply the visit record.




Administration Charges

Should Promoting Positive Contact require to do any additional work (e.g. invoice reminders), we will apply an administration charge to cover the cost of undertaking this additional workload. The charge amount will be dependent on the scale of the workload that had been undertaken.


Additional Information

- Invoices are sent with referral forms and fees should be paid when referral forms are returned. If you require sanction from the Scottish Legal Aid Board, please advise us of this by letter when returning the forms.

- Referral fees are non-refundable. After place has been confirmed, visits fee is non refundable.

- The centre must be advised in writing when its use is no longer required. Failure to do so may incur charges.

- All missed appointments where the centre is not informed by either party or solicitor will incur an administration charge of £10.00 in addition to the full visit fee.

- Proposed changes to existing arrangements must be discussed and agreed with the Promoting Positive Contact prior to court date. Failure to do so may result in unnecessary inconvenience to your client.

- Should a visit be cancelled by either party, the cost of that visit still applies.
